A handsome late-1800s wool and silk quilt top, foundation backed with quilting cotton, shirting, and homespun fabrics and top stitched in a “chicken foot” pattern in various contrasting colors

All hand stitched

Wide array of wool challis, herringbone, raw silks, and satins on top

In excellent antique condition, with a few details to note:
*one yellow-hued stain (see last photo) on top
*two small areas of wear to backing of one block (1 is 1/2” square and 1 is 1” long by 1/2” wide)
*age toning throughout backing

No odors, has been stored in controlled environment
